  • Description
  • Celebrate the magic of Christmas in Levi, Finnish Lapland, with a joyful day in the enchanting world of Santa and his elves! The highlight of this family-friendly program is a private meeting with Santa Claus himself. But that’s just the beginning of a heartwarming Arctic adventure — the experience also includes a visit to the Elves’ Hideaway and the elves’ reindeer enclosure.

You will join a scheduled group program, available only in Levi — a magical Christmas experience for both children and adults. The Elves’ Hideaway lies hidden deep in the forest, on the banks of Lapland’s longest river, shielded from the outside world by ancient magic. As the car turns off the main road, you’ll be greeted by a glowing path of thousands of candles and Christmas lights — guiding the way to this secret festive world.

Your adventure begins at the Visitor Center, where cheerful elves welcome you and provide a map and helpful tips for exploring the area. You can choose between a shorter trail (approx. 500 meters) or take the longer, scenic Adventure Path, stretching over one kilometer through snowy forest landscapes.

Follow the Elves' Paths marked on the map to reach the hidden Elves’ Hideaway, home to some of the most iconic locations in this magical forest village:

    • The Seita Stone, a mystical gateway to the underground world of elves and gnomes
    • The Gingerbread House, where you can bake and decorate your own cookies
    • Elf School, where crafts and creativity come alive
    • The Hut of Knowledge, full of stories and traditions

Don’t miss the elves’ reindeer fence, where you can step inside and meet Santa’s gentle, antlered companions up close.

Next, you’ll enter Santa Claus’s new home, filled with holiday wonder and delightful details. Peek into his office and kitchen, check out the wardrobe of travel costumes, and browse Christmas books stacked on the shelves of his cozy bedroom. A hidden secret door leads to a History Room, where you’ll discover the fascinating evolution of toys. Then step into the audiovisual exhibition, where a talking tree brings Lapland’s fairytales to life in a magical way.

Private Family Meeting with Santa Claus

Each family enjoys their own private time with Santa Claus, ending with a magical elevator ride to Santa’s personal room. Santa personally gives a small gift to every child, and if you wish, you can hand him your Christmas letter in person.

Before heading home, stop by the Visitor Center’s charming souvenir shop, where you’ll find gifts and keepsakes that capture the spirit of Christmas. Enjoy warm rice porridge made by Mrs. Claus at the café, or treat yourself to delicious ice cream from the elves’ very own ice cream factory!
