Snowshoe Fitting in Levi & Transfer to the Trail
Your adventure begins in Levi village, where you’ll meet your guide and be fitted with snowshoes based on your shoe size. Fitting takes place at the meeting point to ensure comfort and proper fit. Snowshoes are worn over your own sturdy winter boots.
After gearing up, a short 10-minute car transfer takes you to the foothills of one of the nearby fells, where your snowshoe hike begins..
Snowy Trails & Scenic Viewpoint
Your guide will lead you on a 2–4 km snowshoe loop trail through quiet forests and gently rising terrain. This route is carefully chosen to balance activity and scenery, offering a short uphill section to a panoramic viewpoint — perfect for taking photos of Lapland’s white wilderness. The location is more secluded than Levi's public slopes and trails, giving the experience a peaceful and private feel, ideal for those who prefer smaller groups and off-the-beaten-path landscapes.
Fireside Break in a Private Wilderness Shelter
After the hike, you’ll arrive at a private lean-to shelter (or half-open hut) in the forest — reserved exclusively for your group. Here, you’ll grill a Finnish sausage over the open fire and enjoy a cup of traditional hot berry juice. The flicker of flames, the snowy forest around you, and the absence of other visitors make this a truly intimate moment in Arctic nature.
Vegetarian snack option is available upon request.

Important remarks
Important: This tour includes moderate uphill and downhill walking on uneven terrain. A normal level of physical fitness is required, and the activity is comparable to cycling 5 km.
Not recommended for guests with knee problems, heart conditions, or mobility issues, due to uphill climb and downhill descent on snowshoes.
Recommendation
We recommend wearing warm winter clothing. It can be rented separately before the departure from the Safarimarket office in Levi center at extra charge.
Cancellation Policy
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 21 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 365 days or less before the event
