2h Easy snowshoeing, Levi

  • 2 hours
  • Easy
  • Daytime
  • 8+
  • Levi
  • Description
  • You will meet the guide, check the equipment and clothing and go by foot to a starting place nearby. At the foothill of Levi, you’ll put on the snowshoes and start an easy hike on a 4-5 km loop winter track alongside the Levi fell. On your way you might spot some wildlife, like rabbits, snow grouses and foxes and see beautiful Lappish winter nature.

When you start feeling a bit tired and thirsty, we’ll have a break: sip on a traditional Finnish hot berry juice and talk about the nature and life in Lapland. When ready, you will continue hiking back to Levi.

    What's included

    • Guiding
    • Hot berry juice

    Not included

    • Warm winter clothing

    Important remarks

    Child age: 8-12 years

Although snowshoeing seems easy, the program requires a normal physical condition, and can be compared to cross-country biking about 5 km distance.
Snowshoes come in one size, fits all, just attach them on your own shoes and you’re ready to go.

    Recommendation

We recommend wearing warm winter clothing. Warm clothing can be rented separately before the departure from the Safarimarket office in Levi center.
