Discover the Untamed Beauty of Lapland on an ATV Safari Adventure!

Experience the raw nature of Finnish Lapland on this thrilling summer-autumn ATV tour through forests, fells, and wetlands — all while tracking free-roaming reindeer in their natural habitat. This full-day excursion near Levi is the perfect combination of outdoor adventure, wildlife spotting, and cultural immersion, complete with a delicious open-fire lunch in a traditional kota hut.

    What to Expect:

Your journey begins with a pickup from Levi and a short transfer to the starting point on the edge of the wilderness. After gearing up with helmets and receiving safety instructions, you’ll hop on your powerful all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and follow your guide deep into the Lappish backcountry.

Track Free-Roaming Reindeer in the Arctic Wild

Reindeer in Lapland live semi-wild and roam freely across vast landscapes of forest, marsh, and open fell. Guided by a local reindeer herder — you’ll drive along scenic trails with a 95% chance of spotting these iconic Arctic animals. They’re shy, but you’ll have excellent opportunities to observe and photograph them from a respectful distance.

Depending on the reindeer’s location, the route may cover 10–50 kilometers through a variety of terrain, including gravel roads, forest tracks, muddy swamps, and elevated fells — a true off-the-beaten-path adventure tailored for wildlife lovers and outdoor explorers.

Lunch by the Fire in a Private Wilderness Kota

After the ride, you’ll settle down in a cozy Lappish kota (a traditional wooden hut), warmed by an open fire and lined with soft reindeer hides. Here, your guide will serve a freshly prepared Arctic meal:

    • Warming vegetable soup
    • Soft rieska flatbread toasted on the fire
    • Reindeer sausage, grilled by you over open flames
    • Crispy pancakes with Arctic berry jam and whipped cream
    • Freshly brewed fire-pot coffee or herbal tea

The meal is handmade using local and ecological ingredients and offers a genuine taste of Lapland’s culinary traditions. It’s the perfect reward after a day of riding and exploring.
