Snowshoeing is a great way to experience Lapland’s wintry wildernesses and really get in touch with its finest asset, enjoy the fresh and clean air and get some exercise.
People in the Arctic have been using snowshoes already for centuries, they were intended to assist people in travelling the snowy landscapes. After a 20-minute transfer we will arrive to the wilderness area, where you will get all the equipment you need and then we head for the forest trails.
Using snowshoes is easy, you don’t need to be a skilled skier to learn what snowshoe hiking is all about – a reasonably good balance, good winter boots and warm clothing is all you need. During the trip there will be a break to make an open fire where we enjoy a hot drink and grill a sausage in the lovely wintry atmosphere.
What's included

Important remarks
It may seem that snowshoeing is not physically demanding but it requires a good physical condition and can be compared to a 5-10 km bike ride over rugged terrain.
Snowshoes are attached to your shoes, one size fits all, you need rigid winter boots as opposed to soft material boots or low-top trainers. If your shoes are suitable just strap the snowshoes on and you’re ready to go!
Recommendation
We recommend wearing warm winter clothing. Warm clothing can be rented separately. Please provide clients’ shoe, trouser and jacket size.
