October is a liminal month, when the golden autumn is over but the first snow is just beginning its journey to the ground. It is a time of silence and tranquillity as nature hibernates in anticipation of winter. But the mystical Northern Lights are already raging in the night and dark autumn sky. This is the perfect time of year to see the Aurora Borealis in milder temperatures, without the ice and snow.
But it's not just nature that wanes as winter approaches. October is a great time to see Lapland without a lot of tourists, when you get much more attention and time everywhere than during the busy winter months.
PACKAGE 4 DAYS:
Day 1:
• Arrival to Kittila airport from Helsinki and transfer to Levi
• Traditional smoke sauna on the taiga lake bank
Day 2:
• Animals movie stars park visit and selfies with foxes
• Aurora chase with a Professional photographer
Day 3:
• Reindeer farm and meeting with herder people
• Lappish evening with shaman with dinner
Day 4:
• Transfer to Kittila airport and flight to Helsinki
