Levi Summit Snowmobile Safari — single drivers only (Levi)
A 3.5-hour daytime snowmobile safari to the summit of Levi fell (531 m), operating January–April subject to snow and fell conditions. Adults only. Single drivers only — no passengers, no shared snowmobiles. This is a requirement due to the technical demands of the summit ascent and descent. Prior snowmobiling experience essential.
The route runs on public marked trails and sections of privately owned land through the Kätkätunturi and Pyhätunturi mountain areas before the terrain rises toward the summit. Every participant drives their own machine throughout. Midway stop at a private wilderness kota or wilderness café (depending on conditions): grilled sausage or snack, hot drink. Optional soup lunch available as a supplement.
Summit riding is not guaranteed and may be replaced with the extended fell route if conditions on the day do not allow the final ascent. On a clear day from the summit, the view extends to the Swedish border; the fells of Ylläs, Pallas and Kätkä are visible on the horizon.
Snowmobile disclaimer: Clients are liable for damage to snowmobiles. Accident insurance included with €950 deductible per driver; waiver (€35) reduces to €350. If a driver fails to follow Finnish Road Traffic Act or guide’s instructions, all damages must be paid in full. Cancelled below -35°C (-31°F) — full refund or rescheduling. Between -25°C and -35°C, the safari may be modified.
Medical: Not recommended for pregnant women or people with back or hip problems. Guests with heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy or other relevant conditions should consult a medical professional before participating.

Drivers: Must be 18+ with a valid driving licence (categories B, T, A1 or A, EU/EEA or Geneva/Vienna Convention countries). Electronic licences not accepted. Carry licence on safari.
Alcohol: Zero tolerance. Drivers may be breathalysed before departure. No refund if denied participation.
Insurance: €950 deductible per driver. Waiver (€35) reduces to €350 — purchase at booking or before departure.
Weather: Cancelled below -35°C (-31°F); full refund or rescheduling.
Pickup: Free pick-up and drop-off from several designated locations in the Levi area.
Recommendation
- Please take your driving license with you on the snowmobile safari as the police may check the validity of the license during the safari.
- We recommend wearing thermal body-wear + multilayer clothing and woolen socks. You will get warm outer clothing and boots before the safari.
Cancellation Policy
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 21 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 365 days or less before the event
