Snowmobile Family Safari with Kids’ Mini-Snowmobiles & Campfire, Levi
A 3-hour daytime family snowmobile safari in two parts, operating Nov–Apr in three seasonal pricing periods. Children from approximately 3–4 years and 100 cm. Adult drivers must be 18+ with a valid driving licence. Departures at 11:45 and 13:15.
Part 1: Guided snowmobile safari of approximately 25 km on a mix of public marked trails and private land sections accessible only to STG guests. Children under 130 cm ride in a sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. Speed with sled: 20–25 km/h. Adults on shared snowmobiles (two per machine); drivers and passengers may swap halfway. Solo supplement available.
Part 2: Midway stop at a private kota on a frozen open swamp, pre-prepared and warmed with a ready fire. Three mini-snowmobiles on a dedicated private track under close guide supervision: Arctic Cat ZR120 (age 3+), Arctic Cat ZR200 (age 5+), Polaris 550 Indy 121 Evo (age 10+). Speed limited for safety. If multiple children of similar age are present, they take turns so every child gets a ride. Children drive mini-snowmobiles in the designated area only — not on the safari route. Grilled sausage and hot drink included.
December departures: The 11:45 slot covers both parts mostly in natural light. The 13:15 slot means Part 2 takes place in the kaamos blue Arctic dusk.
Snowmobile disclaimer: Clients are liable for damage to snowmobiles. Accident insurance included with €950 deductible per driver; waiver (€35) reduces to €350. If a driver fails to follow Finnish Road Traffic Act or guide’s instructions, all damages must be paid in full. Cancelled below -35°C (-31°F) — full refund or rescheduling. With children: minimum -25°C (-13°F); between -25°C and -35°C safaris may be modified.
Medical: Not recommended for pregnant women or people with back or hip problems. Guests with heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy or other relevant conditions should consult a medical professional before participating.

Children on safari route: Under 130 cm in guide-pulled sled only. Over 130 cm may ride behind an adult driver at adult price.
Not recommended: Under age 3. Contact in advance if bringing very young children.
Drivers: Must be 18+ with a valid driving licence (categories B, T, A1 or A, EU/EEA or Geneva/Vienna Convention countries). Electronic licences not accepted. Carry licence on safari.
Alcohol: Zero tolerance. Drivers may be breathalysed before departure. No refund if denied participation.
Insurance: €950 deductible per driver. Waiver (€35) reduces to €350 — purchase at booking or before departure.
Weather: Cancelled below -35°C (-31°F); full refund or rescheduling. With children: minimum -25°C (-13°F).
Pickup: Free pick-up and drop-off from several designated locations in the Levi area.
Recommendation
- Dress children in warm thermal layers under the provided suit.
- Wool socks and neck scarf recommended for all.
- Adult drivers bring driving licence.
Cancellation Policy
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 21 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 365 days or less before the event
