Snow Village Lainio — guided tour from Levi
Lainio Snow Village is located 40 minutes from Levi centre and is constructed entirely from snow and ice each November. Every wall, room, sculpture, corridor and bar counter is carved by hand. Interior temperature is consistently around -6°C (21°F). The theme changes each season; past themes have included Game of Thrones, Nordic Mythology, Underwater World and others. The 2026–2027 theme is to be confirmed.
The visit begins with a guided tour of the current season’s exhibition — decorated rooms, hand-carved sculptures, illuminated corridors and the ice bar. Warm berry juice is served in the ice bar at the end of the guided section. Guests then have free time to explore independently before the return journey to Levi.
Optional lunch supplements(pre-order required at time of booking where indicated; prices below from 2025–2026 season):
• Soup buffet in the glass or log restaurant (11:00–16:00 daily): meat, fish or vegetable soup, bread, butter, coffee or tea. No pre-order required. €20 adult / €10 child (ages 4–14)
• Sautéed reindeer in the glass restaurant: includes coffee or tea and Finnish bun. Pre-order and table reservation required. €48 adult / €24 child
• Sautéed reindeer in the ice restaurant: includes coffee or tea and Finnish bun. Pre-order required, minimum 6 adults. €56 adult / €28 child
• Three-course lunch in the glass restaurant: artichoke soup, sautéed reindeer, bun, coffee or tea. Pre-order and table reservation required. €60 adult / €30 child
• Three-course lunch in the ice restaurant: artichoke soup, sautéed reindeer, bun, coffee or tea. Pre-order and table reservation required. €68 adult / €34 child
Some snacks and meals can also be purchased at the warm restaurant without pre-order.
Child price applies for ages 4–14. Children under 4: fixed rate applies.

Pickup: Free pick-up and drop-off from several designated locations in the Levi area.
Recommendation
- Wear warm winter clothing suitable for sustained time at -6°C.
- Thermal layers, insulated boots and gloves are essential.
- Clothing can be rented from the Safarimarket office in Levi centre at extra charge of €12. Arrive at least 20 minutes before departure if you need rental clothing.
Cancellation Policy
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 21 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 365 days or less before the event
