Ice fishing is an extremely popular leisure time activity for local people in Lapland – it suits everyone! We will approach one of the locations by car and set our fishing spot up in a lovely wilderness atmosphere. You will learn the secrets of ice fishing from a local expert, your guide. First you will drill a hole into the ice and then place the hook into the water. Fish don’t spend much energy during the winter months, therefore if you move your bait or jig too fast a fish might let it go in order to save energy. A catch is not guaranteed but most likely for the patient fisherman! However, the most important thing is to enjoy the tranquility and silence of the nature. While ice fishing our guide will serve us hot drinks from thermos.
