This evening departure of a snowmobile safari will be a special experience to discover the magic of snowy forests in the night. Given extra light by the white snow reflection or the stars and the moon, we follow the snowmobile trails away from city lights and look for the spot to admire the sky.
The guide will light up a bonfire in a traditional Lappish teepee (kota) where you’ll enjoy an arctic picnic while waiting for the northern lights to appear. Everyone can grill traditional Finnish “makkara” sausages on the fire and enjoy hot berry juice to keep you warm. For taking proper photos in darkness, you can bring along a tripod for your camera.
The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 2 hours. The average speed during our tours is limited due to the safety and traffic regulations. Two adults ride on one snowmobile, single riding supplement for extra charge. The tour is suitable for families with children; children are traveling in the sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. We recommend having an early dinner in the hotel before the departure.

Recommendation
- Please take your driving license with you on the snowmobile safari as the police may check the validity of the license during the safari.
- We recommend wearing thermo body-wear + multilayer clothing and woolen socks. You will get warm outer clothing and boots before the safari.
- For those people who consider self-rental: out there you’ll be surrounded by almost total whiteness, so it’s quite easy to lose one’s way for the first time, that’s why to guarantee the quality time, we highly recommend for the first time to go on an organized safari with an experienced local guide.
