Discover the peaceful charm of a hidden husky kennel nestled just 15 minutes from Rovaniemi city center. Tucked away in the pristine forest, this quiet retreat invites you into a world where eager huskies and Arctic nature live in perfect harmony. From the moment you arrive, you'll feel like you've entered a secret place far from the city bustle.
This family-run kennel is home to around 50 well-loved huskies — a mix of Siberian, Alaskan-Arctic, and reindeer dogs — each with their own name and story. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by professional mushers, smiling and passionate about their dogs. They’ll personally introduce you to your sled team, adding a heartfelt touch right from the start.
Before setting off, your guide will gently teach you how to handle the sled safely and confidently. You’ll learn how to brake, control your speed, and keep balance on turns — simple and natural techniques that help you enjoy the ride. For guests who prefer not to drive the sled themselves, it’s also possible to pre-book a musher-driven ride with an experienced guide.
And now — the adventure begins! You’ll head out on a 2-kilometer self-driven safari along snowy forest trails — peaceful, scenic, and full of winter magic. The ride lasts about 15 minutes and includes a stop where the driver and passenger can switch roles, if they wish.
After the ride, take time to greet and thank your dogs. These moments of joy and connection are just as special as the ride itself — perfect for heartfelt photos and bonding. You’ll then join a guided walk through the kennel, meet more members of the pack, and hear stories about their training, life, and the strong bond between husky and musher.
A true highlight of this experience is the chance to spend even more time with the huskies. You'll be invited into a special fenced-off free-run area, where selected dogs roam freely. Here, guests are welcome to step inside, pet the huskies, play with them, and take relaxed, natural photos. It’s a rare opportunity to connect with the dogs on their terms — joyful, friendly, and completely unrushed.
Our focus is on creating an unrushed and personal experience. Whether you're mushing through the forest, walking through the kennel, or warming up afterward, we give you the time and space to fully enjoy every moment — without pressure.
Your husky visit ends with a cozy break in a traditional yurt hut, gathered around an open fire. Sip warm berry juice, enjoy homemade cookies, and listen to stories from your hosts about husky life in the North — a perfect, peaceful end to a meaningful day.
Above all, we care deeply about our huskies’ well-being. The dogs live in large, clean enclosures with space to rest, play, and socialize. Each one receives daily care, regular rest days, and kind, trust-based training. Their happiness shows in every wagging tail and joyful howl before the ride.

Please always bear in mind that one sledge can take max. 2 adults + 1 small child (under 7 y.o.). The final decision about seating is made by the host on the spot, as it may depend on the participants’ weight, height, etc.
When your party is 2 people: 1 adult + a child older than 7 y.o., you can sit in one sled, paying adult price and child price.
When your party is 3 people: 2 adults + a child older than 7 y.o., one of the 3 people will have to share a sled with another participant.

Note: As a rule of thumb, we take small groups of up to 8 people per ride (4 sled teams). If your group is larger, we’ll split it into two and run the program in rotating turns, ensuring every guest enjoys a personal and unrushed experience.
Musher-driven option is available only when booked in advance.
Recommendation
We strongly recommend wearing warm winter clothing. It can be rented separately before departure at extra charge.
It’s better to be dressed overly warm than “underdressed”, especially on longer safari programs. In cold weather, we recommend applying no-water based winter cream for face and cover open skin areas tightly. Bring gloves or better mittens, a good hat, hand/foot warmers and goggles.
Please take off your gloves/mittens when touching the huskies. They love to play with gloves and might break it easily. Do not be afraid of dogs, as they are genetically friendly to people. Do not feed the dogs.
